UPDATED: March 31, 2022 - The devastating conflict in eastern Ukraine has and continues to affect the mental health of children, adolescents and teens, causing extreme anxiety, stress, nightmares, social distress and intense fear. For many this has been an everyday reality since this conflict began.

With the ongoing and joint world-wide efforts, we can help support the millions of victims immediately with a long-term commitment to those who continue to face serious risks to their psychological well-being.

Longwood Care has dedicated mental health support services for children, parents and individuals whose lives have been devastated by the war in Ukraine. These efforts seek drastically increase access to psychotherapists and psychologists, offering counseling and therapy sessions to help deal with the trauma of war.

OUR OBJECTIVE: Longwood Care and its partners continue to expand access and availability of mental health, psychological and psychosocial support services for children, families and individuals in numerous cities and towns along the frontline in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and expanded now include Mariupol, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Lviv.

OUR COMMITMENT: Every child, family and individual who has suffered from the war in Ukraine must get psychological help. We are working with partner non-profit organizations, foundations and psychological associations in Ukraine and Europe for expanding children’s rights protection system in the country, translation services and online psychotherapy services.

The organization is focused on offering direct face-to-face and telehealth mental health services to individuals, children and families affected by the crisis with therapists, psychologists and clinicians providing therapy in English, Ukrainian and Russian languages to cope with everyday difficulties, treatment and rehabilitation for trauma, PTSD and other conditions.

We are committed to providing no-cost psychological support to Ukrainian children and families who are impacted by armed conflicts like this one locally and abroad. Services include art therapy, traveling psychologists and therapists who specialize in trauma, and assistance programs for individual families.

These efforts will provide mental health aid to those immediately in need. We are also engaged in advocating for expanding children’s rights protection system in the country.
