Longwood Care is a behavioral health organization providing clinical services to individuals, children, and families. All communications from our organization may contain protected health information (PHI) and are subject to applicable confidentiality laws, including HIPAA. This notice applies to all email and electronic communications sent from longwoodcare.org addresses.
This email message and any attachments it may contain are confidential and/or privileged, and are intended solely for the use of the named addressee(s). The contents may also be legally protected from disclosure under applicable federal and state law, including but not limited to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable state behavioral health confidentiality statutes.

As a behavioral health provider, Longwood Care is a covered entity under HIPAA. Communications from our organization may contain protected health information (PHI) relating to current or prospective clients. PHI includes any individually identifiable health information, including names, dates, contact information, diagnoses, treatment details, or any other information that could identify a specific individual.
Recipients of communications containing PHI are reminded that unauthorized disclosure, use, or re-disclosure of such information may constitute a violation of HIPAA and applicable state law, and may subject the disclosing party to civil and criminal penalties.
Longwood Care employs reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the confidentiality of electronic communications. However, the security of email transmission cannot be fully guaranteed. If you require a higher level of security for sensitive communications, please contact our office to arrange an alternative method of transmission.
The confidentiality and/or privilege attached to this communication and any attachments shall not be waived, modified, diminished, or otherwise compromised by any unintentional or unauthorized transmission, disclosure, or receipt. Any such inadvertent disclosure does not constitute a waiver of any applicable privilege or confidentiality protection.

This confidentiality notice applies to all electronic communications sent from email addresses ending in @longwoodcare.org, including communications sent by clinical staff, administrative staff, billing personnel, and any authorized agents or contractors acting on behalf of Longwood Care.
